Gosh this weekend has been so sunny! And y’all know that I love my sunglasses. What a fashionably perfect way to combat that summer glare. Mosley Tribes have come out with these slick black aviators known as the ‘Hayes’ aviators with gun handle textured temples. It’s definite that I’ll have to work a little harder so that I can buy them. The expense is so worth it though ($275) as they are perfect for that poolside party we’re all going to this summer. Just be prepared to stand out.

If you guys can re-call, last year the lovely people at Sperry Topsider and the lovely ladies at Sweaty Betty gifted me this season’s It men’s shoe. The naval boat shoe. It just so happened to be that I was on my way to the Philippines for a month long vacation. What a perfect shoe for this recent trip. Here I am wearing them on the way back from tropical paradise (Boracay). If I could just express how happy I am with this shoe, whether it’s a casual outfit or a dressier number, the shoes are really just versatile. No wonder fashion men have gone gaga for them!
Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Jumper (worn around neck): Saba
T-Shirt: Religion @ People are People
Shorts: Guess by Marciano
Shoes: Sperry Topsider
Fashion wise I picked up a few things here and there while I was in the Philippines. Here is the first of a few outfit posts regarding sartorial choices made while I was over there.
This first outfit was inspired by many-a-Bryanboy outfit posts where he travelled around the Philippines. On this particular day we were travelling to Tagaytay, home of the Taal Lake and Volcano. I don’t know if geological movements had any particular influence on my colour choices, I just knew I wanted colour. So here’s the breakdown:
Hat: Borrowed from my cousin
Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana
Bowtie: Handmade and customised to shirt
Shirt: Shooter Italy
Shorts: Guess by Marciano
Rings: Marc Jacobs
Shoes (not seen): Sperry Topsider
More pics to come..
Dear readers, please bear with me as I have been on a month long vacation in my Homeland and have a lot of content to post over the next few weeks. 2011 is the beginning of a whole new decade and a whole new year. As you may have noticed a few things have changed. Dandy Sachs is no longer a fashion assistant. Lenya thought it best that I use this new year to launch myself as a separate entity, as a solo stylist. My own brand. She told me “I was ready”. It’s sad that our time has come to an end but I have a lot to be thankful for in the past two years I’ve worked with her. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve been exposed to a cut throat industry and most importantly I’ve come to crossroads as to whether being a fashion stylist is my ultimate dream or that perhaps another career in fashion suits me. Who knows? This is what the whole new year and decade is for!
